Beauty Therapy Level 1 DiplomaWhat will I study?The aim of this programme is to explore beauty therapy as a career and introduce you to basic salon procedures. All applicants will be interviewed to judge their suitability for the course. You will study health & safety, assist in salon reception duties, prepare and maintain the beauty therapy work area, assist with facial treatments, and assist with nail treatments on hands. The course combines practical and theory skills and you will also develop your functional skills in English, Maths and ICT as an integral part of the course. You will be continually assessed by a variety of methods including practical observations, oral questions, written assessments and assignments.You need:3 GCSE grades D-F and a genuine interest in the beauty industryLevel: 1 Duration: 1 yearCoursework/Exam (%): 100/0What can it lead to?Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or possibly an assisting role within a salon.Qualifications
