BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care

What will I study?
You will study a number of mandatory and optional units to achieve a total of 120 credits in order to complete the qualification. These are some examples of units you may study: Developing Effective Communication in Health and Social Care, Equality, Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care, Development through the Life Stages, Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care, Sociological and Psychological Perspectives for Health and Social Care, Infection Prevention and Control and Dementia Care. You will also develop your research and study skills through completing an extended project.

You need:
4 GCSE passes at Grade C or above to include English and/or Maths (or equivalent Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications) or a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or another relevant field) at Merit or Distinction.

Coursework/Exam (%): 100/0

What can it lead to?
On successful completion of this course you could you seek employment in health and social care settings such as hospitals, surgeries, nursing and care homes. You could also progress to Higher Education degree courses such as; nursing, midwifery, social work or teaching. (Additional qualifications in English, Maths and/or science may also be required)
