BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Photography

What will I study?
This course will enable you to develop a wider understanding of photography and prepare an art portfolio for University. You'll explore a range of traditional and digital photography. You'll learn through practical and critical activities to express and gain knowledge of the different areas within photography. You'll be able to choose the genres and styles you want to explore. The course is equivalent to two A levels and is very varied: as well as furthering your own practical skills through mediums including Photoshop and you'll visit art galleries. Your second year will be mainly taken up with developing your art portfolio for university interviews and professionally presenting work produced during the course.

You need:
4 GCSE grades A*-C including Art, Graphics or Textiles and normally including English or Maths, or Distinction/Merit BTEC First Diploma Art & Design

What can it lead to?
This is an excellent progression route into an art foundation course and higher education courses in a variety of photography courses and combined courses. Employment is also an option.
